Veterinarian Visits First Grade

Last week we read the story, On the Job with Dr. Martha Smith. In this story, Dr. Smith is a veterinarian. We had the privilege of having a real veterinarian come and visit us at school. He was very informative and even brought along a few pets of his own. Thank you Dr. Duffey!

Reading Eggs

KES has registered with Reading Eggs. This is an Online program designed to motivate and excite your child about reading. It is a fun-filled program that you can do at home with your child. Your child has already taken a pre-test and therefore has been placed on the appropriate readiness level. Today, you will see a purple information sheet come home in your child's Dragon Folder that will tell you more about Reading Eggs. You will also find your child's login information on this sheet as well. Please take advantage of this opportunity as reading in first grade is VERY important. Let me know if you have any questions concerning Reading Eggs. Have a great evening!

Sorry for the delay

I apologize for the delay in posting to the blog. We have been having technical issues at school trying to combine Google accounts. Here are a few pictures from October 31st when we made ghost cookies. I will update more soon! :)
